We are nearing the 100th day of school and in primary grades, this is an important day of learning! All of our students are about halfway through the year, many have begun second semester, and everyone is in full learning mode in their classrooms, outdoors and in their communities.

This year, JVH held our fundraiser December 4th through 15th outside the Front Street Market. We had great participation from our students, staff, families and community.

In 2022, the community generously donated over $3600. This year looks like a great year as well - watch for a final count of this year's fundraising to be announced in the new year!

This month at JVH/Jewett has been an exciting time!

We’ve been excited to see a number of new students and families move to our area, and are thrilled to be hosting 5 International students at JVH in the High School. Our focus as we re-open has been organizing for learning, and particularly around the priority of creating a Caring and Inclusive Learning Culture.

A warm welcome to September and to the 2023-2024 school year. I am pleased to welcome every one of our more than 4700 students and each family whose child or children have embarked on what may be a first or a next chapter of their educational journey within School District No. 8 (Kootenay Lake).
