After 34 years of full time teaching at JVH I was able to semi-retire two years ago.  After teaching a wide range of subjects over the years I now find myself teaching only the Trades (sometimes called Technology) classes which is my area of training and expertise.  I love building things and it is a joy for me to be able to share that passion with students as they discover and explore the creative satisfaction of turning raw materials into finished products.  We are very fortunate to have a large and well equipped shop in our small school and I am fortunate to have the opportunity to see many of my former students now working as tradespeople both in Kaslo and beyond.
